Install Copy Guard

Copy Guard isn't published on the Chrome Web Store, so it's installed as an unpacked extension instead. It only takes a minute.

Download the extension (.zip)

Installation steps (Chrome / Edge)

  1. Download the .zip above, then unzip it — you'll get a copyguard-extension folder.
  2. Open chrome://extensions in a new tab.
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  4. Click Load unpacked.
  5. Select the copyguard-extension folder you unzipped.
  6. Copy Guard should now appear in your extensions list and toolbar — open ChatGPT to start.

Chrome may show a warning about developer-mode extensions — that's expected for any extension installed this way, not a sign something is wrong.
